Any type of symptoms? Can you get into run level 3? What happens when you try to get to run level 5? What video card? Are you sure it isn't that you had Nvidia / Ati driver loaded before the Kernel was updated? If your using a Beta version of KDE, you should def be able to give us more precise issues you are having with booting..
