I have already tried to package 5.0.0, but unfortunately this one requires Python 3.0 which is not yet in any official repo. So I abanded this build. However I will package 4.4.5 in Community. It is to late in the release cycle for openSUSE 11.3 to have it moved to KDE4:desktop and backports. This will be done after 11.3 is released.
Python 3.0 (or actually 3.1, which Eric5 requires) is in the python3 package which, at least for opensSuse 11.2, is in the openSUSE:11.2/standard repository. It provides a separate python3 binary so as not to interfere with python 2.x (which is the default version for openSUSE). This allows both python 2.x and 3.x to be installed at the same time. Eric5 also requires qscintilla 2.4, which is in the standard repo for 11.2, and python-qt4 4.7, which is in the KDE repos. -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
