Hi,
as topic says my Kickoff menus (all 3 systems) are flooded with "Recently installed" and all contain the same apps (per system) which only change when I install new ones.

I searched in translation strings upstream and did not find the string. But I found it in openSUSE translation (http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-translation-de/2008-11/msg00032.html):
#: core/applicationmodel.cpp:301 msgid "Recently Installed" msgstr "Vor kurzem installiert"
I have had this problem for a few months but forgot reporting it...
Is it possible to fix this bug?
Thanks. Johannes
Hi Johannes, Here with my french system ( Récement installé ), I've absolutely not your trouble. Everything is normal (One menu, and it's containt is coherent ) sure it doesn't help you, but just proove the non bug case. It seems you get a trouble somewhere in config files. KDE senior should find where to have a more precise look. One test case you can do, is create a new empty test user (so it has a proper .kde4 config), log to it and see if the problem appear again (So it would tend to show that's more a system-wide configuration. What surprise me, is that you can reproduce it on 3 systems. Are they all german localized ? Perharps there's a typo error (String open/close trouble) in the translation.
