So I would be okay with a beta version of kile in opensuse 11.2 as we don't have scary bugs open.
I have moved it from KDE:KDE4:Playground to KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop and submitted for Factory.
If you do that I would kindly request a few things: - Don't exchange the scary "kile beta" splashscreen. This is on purpose. - Tell us the last date where you can accept updates for your kile packages. Maybe we can have a beta2/rc1 at this date.
According to http://en.opensuse.org/Roadmap/11.2, either Aug 06 or Aug 20, depending on the exact interpretation of the Milestone 6 goals.
- Can you post the source code patches you add to kile somewhere? Usually distros fix a few things but also don't tell upstream ;)
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?package=kile&project=openSUSE%3AFactory has the package shipped with openSUSE Factory, right now it's the KDE3 version until the KDE4 version request gets accepted.
