stable pim
I don't possibly see how PIM can in any way be described as stable. It's the most unreliable and frustrating part of my desktop. When I'm not having to manually kill stalled imap and pop3 kio instances because no mail is arriving, I'm having to restart akgregator because the years old bug has marked all my unread posts as read, again. Honestly, it's a lottery as to whether you have no mail or you have mail and its just not arriving because all pop3 & imap kio slaves have barfed. Then of course, Kontact itself has that annoying regression whereby shutting it down doesn't actually end the process, it just hangs around like a bad smell to annoy you the next time you start your KDE session. Did i mention the years old bug that marks all unread posts in akgregator as read? And the small matter of having to kill all kio slaves that kontact spawned because you just can't trust it to actually collect your mail anymore? And having to manually kill Kontact because it just doesn't close down properly? </rant> -- “What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof.” - Christopher Hitchens -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
