udisks is not installed - hal is 0.5.13-4.2.1.i586. Should I try installing udisks?
Yes.
Ummm - not found for 11.2 ???
You never stated your distro version.
True - my oversight.
On 11.2 I guess you have to set the environment variable to use HAL instead of udisks.
Yep - done and working now.
But 11.2 is dead now anyway.
Except that I have unsported V4L hardware for which the driver has never been submitted by the developer for inclusion (beats me as to why) and requires manual updating/patching every time there is a kernel update. I have other customisations too that are a PITA to keep repeating, so I have basically stopped at 11.2/2.6.35.20. It all works (now) so I don't see any reason to update. OTOH my laptop runs 11.4 because it all works out of the box. -- =================================================== Rodney Baker VK5ZTV rodney.baker@iinet.net.au =================================================== -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
