I have weird problem with Dolphin. I'm used to use FISH (fish://login@server/) to connect to SSH server to e.g. manage files on web. This has been working well for ages. It's not Dolphin, it's kio_fish (same underlying library used by other KDE components, not only Dolphin).
Ah, OK, so how to debug where exactly the problem is? It started to behave like this recently and it doesn't happen every time...
When fish:/ fails, try if sftp:/ works better for you.
