Hopefully when 2.4 is released it will go into KDF rather than Extra.
Well, users of openSUSE 12.1 should be able to get Calligra without relying on KDF. So yeah, for 12.2 in the main repo but for 12.1 in Extra. Or did I understand the structure wrong?
Usually such updated packages go into KDE:UpdatedApps
Btw, I tried to package Calligra 2.3.81 (current beta) by myself but I got countless error messages from the web interface.
KDE:Active has working 2.3.80 packages. You can probably base it on those.
KOffice doesn't seem to be making anywhere near as much progress (which makes sense given its much smaller development community).
Calling one person a community is probably bragging. ;-)
There are a few more than just one, but certainly not many.
I asked on koffice-devel when a 2.4 release is to be expected. Currently there are not even alpha releases so it should be left out from KUP for now. So far no reply.
Unforunately the developers have not been very open about their plans, not to mention their progress so far, inlike the calligra developers who have been quite talkative. Looking at the git logs it mostly looks like renaming and removing things lately, but not much in the way of user-visible changes. -Todd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
