Is it possible? Reboot works, but not turn off, just switching to a black screen tty login prompt instead. I combed through kdmrc looking for a reason why not, but didn't find one, and in the opensuse mailing lists archives only found http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2013-03/msg00958.html and https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=809610 seemingly on point, neither of which helped. Chipset is i945/ICH7. Installation is only two days old.
