Hello,
Do I need to report it as bug, is it incomplete or was it removed?
It has been intentionally removed. You can create a 'super user terminal' quite easily via Settings -> Manage Profiles -> New Profile in the terminal and entering a suitable command in the 'Command' field - eg. "sudo $SHELL" or "su -". If you want to use a custom background color or font to indicate that this is a root shell you can change the settings for that in the Appearance tab.
The reason KDE does not provide this profile 'out of the box' is to discourage people from running entire sessions as root.

: I just installed a test system with opensuse 11.0 (2.6.25.16-0.1-pae) with KDE 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.1(KDE4.1.+20080828)) release 52.2 from the factory repository.
I found two items which may be bugs or just not completed yet.
1. on KMENU under system-->terminal there is no longer an option for a super user terminal (KDE 3.5.9-44) has this option. Do I need to report it as bug, is it incomplete or was it removed?
2. Under personal settings I can no longer find where to set up the device icons. It is under Personal_Settings-->desktop-->behavior on 3.5.9. Do I need to report it as bug, is it incomplete or was it removed?
Thanks for any help. If this is not the right place to ask, let me know. -- Russ Linux register user 441463 openSUSE 11.0

Thanks Robert. I generate one tonight or tomorrow. Since I'm the only one using the system its there for me to check some logs etc and still have my user console for normal work. I don't use it very often. It was just handy. -- Russ Linux register user 441463 openSUSE 11.0 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
