What actually controls what splash is available, the greeter/DM, or the DE? Is there a TW or Leap package I can install to get Elarun in KF5 instead of a choice between Breeze and nothing? Configure splash doesn't provide a way to see where the selections live so as to be able to run rpm -qf on them to see what rpm owns them. Installing kde4-wallpaper-default got Elarun for the desktop wallpaper, but not for splash. SDDM isn't an option due to KDM features SDDM lacks, unless SDDM can be used just for configuration access to optional splashes and not required to be the configured greeter. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
