Hi! ______________________ Hi everyone!
Just got my new 8.1 running and again there are some probs:
When clicking the CD-ROM icon, KsCD is started "offering" me to play the CD. But under 8.0 a normal Konqueror poped up and show the "audiocd:/" content of the CD.
This works only as root and only when typing "audiocd:/" as an URL, not by clicking the CD-ROM icon.
When typing the "audiocd:/"-URL as a normal user, Konqueror does nothing. No error-message is given. The user is member of the "disk"-group.
Any suggestions what to do? Thanks!

Check the permissions on /dev/sg0 or /dev/sg1. If you have just one drive, it will be sg0 that you need to change and if more, then just change them both. These deal with your audio part of the cd it seems and need to be assigned to you as /dev/sr0 or /dev/scd0 for your cd burning programs. There is no need to make yourself a member of the "disk" group and from what I understand from the more experienced users, not a good idea either. If you are doing the ide-scsi thing, then check how your /dev/cdrom or /dev/cdrecorder is setup. That way, you will know how to change /dev/sg0 to suit your audio cd needs.
