I am agree with you , but all these years , i am using SLES as desktop product. This allows me to learn server applications as well as using that OS as desktop by installing missing desktop applications like office, messenger, music/movie players. But with SLES10, most of the desktop unpopular applications are present. So, instead of installing missing popular desktop applications, i want to use existing unpopular applications for desktop purpose. So , in this regard, i am experiencing some issues with kopete messenger and juk . =========
sashi, You still should be able to use your SLES, because as far as I know, it's the same linux with missing parts to do what you need. You should still visit Packman for the revised files needed to play mp3 tunes. That, as Mathias mentioned, is missing in your install of SUSE. You may even be able to just recompile the programs you want to play these files to get them working.
For Kopete, I'm not sure what is missing there. Kopete should just work, if you have the accounts setup for the various IM services. I would guess it's just something you've missed or failed to do for it. Are you able to use the system to get on the internet?
Yes, my system is able to reach internet , and my system able to reach internet through konqueror too .
