I have lost the ability to run kde as my normal user. It will run as root, but I don't like to do that.
But I can get into my own account using vnc from work., that works very well, the problem is screen :0.0
Even as root, when I close kde it can't go back to gui login because it can't find :0.0
maybe that will help clarify the problem
