This is now the end of November and the problem with the sound is still there. The version of kaffeine I am running (in 11.2) is still showing as version 0.91+1.0pre2-5.1.
factory has kaffeine-0.9+1.0pre2-9.3.x86_64 available KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop
Thanks, Patrick, but I am running a 32-bit system.....
I also have the KDE:/43/ repo selected for zypper to use so would expect the latest to be made available there - or am I wrong?
the 32-bit will be there too, but that isn't the KDE:/43/ repo. And it would depend on your priority settings, remembering that an ace is higher than a duce than a trey.....
rocket science.
Thank you, Herr Wernher :-) . Getting that 1.0pre2-9.3 version would be of little use to me unless Christoph's "fix" appears in it. Even the version I now have was built on 30 October, well after Christoph put the fix in. There is nothing to say that 2-9.3 will have it.
