any pop3 - kmail handshake gurus out there?
I'm not a guru, merely a user. But as I wrote earlier, I've used Kmail with 3.5 right through the 10.x, 11.x and 12.x series, always with 3 POP accounts, and never had a problem. Re you sure your Kmail settings are correct? Here's the pertinent part of my ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc, for one of my accounts: [Account 1] Folder=inbox Id=1050130222 Name=XXXXX Type=pop auth=USER check-exclude=false check-interval=0 filter-on-server=false filter-os-check-size=50000 host=mail.xxxx.net leave-on-server=false leave-on-server-count=0 leave-on-server-days=0 leave-on-server-size=0 login=xxxxx pass=xxxxxx pipelining=false port=110 precommand[$e]= sieve-alternate-url= sieve-port=2000 sieve-reuse-config=true sieve-support=false sieve-vacation-filename=kmail-vacation.siv store-passwd=true trash=trash use-ssl=false use-tls=false If yours checks out as much the same, is it possible that your ISP's POP side of its e-mail service isn't quite "standard"? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
