Yes, I've seen this on my Lion Qual with SuSE 7.2a RC1 (2.4.4-SMP). It's an annoying "feature" when I start tests in KDE2 an switch to text console with ALT-F1 (or ALT-F10 to check messages). Hi,

I have noticed that on some machines (Big Surs and Lions) switching back and forth between X Windows and the text console (via Alt-F1, etc) will cause the machine to crash. The screen is blank and the box is unresponsive both locally and over the network.

Has anyone else seen this?
