If you wonder about what we do, here is an example: https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/128555 This is one of those somewhat tedious jobs - a minor logging issue on our provo-mirror. For years, the compression job for nginx logs has been complaining, but because the mails were not being sent to admin-auto, nobody knew about it. You're welcome to try your teeth on this, if you're interested. It isn't urgent and not too critical. I have already fixed the cron job to send the email to admin-auto. If you fancy taking a closer look, we can get you hooked up on the VPN and I can add your ssh key on provo-mirror. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (10.6°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes

Okay, that went down like a lead balloon. Either too complex or not complex enough. I also have a couple of minor packaging jobs that need doing - I have two daemons, written in C, they could both do with some _simple_ packaging for the openSUSE infrastructure. (neither is used anywhere else). * mailman3 - archive_rewriter. See poo#101842. Just the code and the systemd unit. * pontifex - tck104328. See poo#104328. Just the code, the systemd unit and some SuSEfirewall2 additions. Oh and a cronjob. Again, you're welcome to cut your teeth on this, it isn't urgent and not critical. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.4°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes

Hi Bernd! that sounds good!! To be honest, I'm probably the worst person in this respect, I think Christian Boltz has a much better idea of the ins and outs. I just write code :-) Right now, the code for both daemons is sat here on my laptop - I'll tar it up and send it to you. Btw, to everyone else - if anyone is interested in just lurking and listening, observing the process, that is fine, we can keep the conversation here on the list. I'm also mostly available on IRC, although I sometime forget to start it up. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (11.9°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes (2016 - present) We're hiring - https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Heroes

I'm still thinking about it. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.4 x86_64 at Telcontar)
