[heroes] Re: LAS website
Hi Sri, I'm ccing the OSEM team and our Heroes team for infra. I'm not certain if we have a server to host the LAS.GNOME use. The Heroes team would have a better idea about this. You can find the code on https://github.com/openSUSE/osem and will see that it has many contributions from various other projects. v/r Doug On 10/01/2017 12:07 AM, Sriram Ramkrishna wrote:
Just to be clear, the ask is if you would be able to create a server and have OSEM running on it. For some unfortunate reason, we cannot host it inside our own infrastructure.

Doug,
I think this year, we want to move to the events website OSEM. How do we go about doing this? While the other software was adequate, it had a lot of design issues and I also it might be worth going to a software that has solid support, eg more than one overworked person. :-)
Thanks! sri
Hi Sri, I'm one of the OSEM developers. I am happy to help you out with OSEM, and answer questions on how to use it, and what it can do. Sadly I cannot speak for the hosting part. Feel free to email me or the OSEM team. You can also find us on IRC (#osem @ freenode server). Stella PS. We have been developing a relevant feature for OSEM during the summer as part of GSoC https://github.com/openSUSE/mentoring/issues/72 (Hosted OSEM) This enables multiple teams to use the same installation of OSEM to organize their conferences, showing only the relevant conference(s) each time, and make use of the domain of their choice. However this is still not implemented on a production environment. On Wed, Oct 4, 2017 at 8:44 AM, ddemaio <ddemaio@suse.de> wrote:

Hi, for hosting, there is also now the possibility to host it on Heroku (https://www.heroku.com/). This should work out of the box and there is even a "Deploy to heroku" button in the OSEM Readme. Hope that helps Christian On 10/04/2017 10:16 AM, Stella Rouzi (differentreality) wrote:
