I agree with that expectation. This would be a unique special case on account of wanting *open* SUSE to be distinguishable from non-open SUSE, not just at the instance of reading email, but also in web search hits. Searching nsuse instead of suse should not be omitting relevant hits that are really about openSUSE rather than SUSE. IMO RedHat did a much better job spinning off Fedora rather than openRedHat. Possibly the fact of change could be included in the post footer, without explicitly referring to suse.com, like when "names have been changed to protect the innocent" is used on TV. Possibly a more digestible change would be adding rather than replacing, but that wouldn't excise the general off-topicness of non-open SUSE URLs.
