Leap 42.3 is unmaintained already since a while, so better not put new stuff on it. Better make applications work on 15.1
Certainly, but it is a matter of priorities and time available. Copying over the current forums setup onto a Leap42.3 system means minimum time and effort. After that, we can work on moving to an updated platform.
Per, I somewhat understand your argument. But the forums are a publicly accessible service and thus I also would argue that running it on unsupported platform is a no-go. The damage of a successful break-in cannot be overestimated. Furthermore given the amount of time needed to just get a forums database export it's a long running migration project anyway. Last not least running non-free / non-openSUSE software also seems to be a pain. => I'd vote for migration to another forum platform. darix already worked on packaging and running discourse. That seems to be a good option. Ciao, Michael. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: heroes+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: heroes+owner@opensuse.org
