That's what I used that generated the most recent notification of failure to unsubscribe: "Your message to updates@lists.opensuse.org awaits moderator approval" @17:33 UTC
It looks me as if you wrote to
updates+leave@lists.opensuse.org
instead of
updates-leave@lists.opensuse.org
If you actually wrote to the latter address, like Carlos suggests, please open an issue (write to admin@o.o).
He wrote to both. First to the '-', got this:
<opensuse-updates+leave@lists.opensuse.org>: host mx2.opensuse.org[195.135.221.158] said: 554 5.4.0 Error: too many hops (in reply to end of DATA command)
Then instead of opening the ticket he tried the '+'.
There is nothing to open a ticket on.
Felix wrote exactly _one_ email to "updates-leave@lists.opensuse.org", at 2033 CET last night. The rest of his attempts went to the wrong addresses.
No. He also wrote to "updates-leave@lists.opensuse.org" and got:
Umm, isn't that what I said above?
The thing to notice is the reply he got - see below:
<opensuse-updates+leave@lists.opensuse.org>: host mx2.opensuse.org[195.135.221.158] said: 554 5.4.0 Error: too many hops (in reply to end of DATA command)
I can assure you he did not receive that in reply to any email sent to "updates-leave@lists.opensuse.org".
It is a wrong address, but the error message is not "wrong address".
This is described on
I'm looking at the mail logs. Felix wrote exactly _one_ email to "updates-leave@lists.opensuse.org", at 2033 CET last night.
Then what address did he use that he got that reply? Could it be "opensuse-updates+leave@lists.opensuse.org"? -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
