Hello, I just started preparing the Ham Radio Packages for openSUSE 10.2. But I think they will not be published before the end of next week. I will try to update all packages to the actual versions. Especially the CVS version of the ax25-apps and ax25-tools contain a lot of improvements concerning the functionality of TCP/IP over AX.25. Please, if somebody found any errors in the packages for 10.1, mail them to me and I will try to correct them in the upcoming versions for 10.2. Because of the quantity of packages it is not possible for me to test every package. But if I receive bug reports, I will try to correct the mistakes. Any chance of adding Xastir back in to the distribution at some point? You guys dropped it erroneously over a license issue a while back. We encourage you to consider adding Xastir back in. We have a SPEC file for SuSE that works with at least SuSE 10.0, plus a new LSB build of Xastir if you'd like to include that (with all the necessary libraries statically compiled in). The LSB version doesn't have AX.25 kernel support in it though as that would be impossible to do with LSB (depends on kernel version). We, the Xastir developers, would be happy to work with you. We just fixed an important segfault issue early last week, so if we need to put out a new stable release for you, let us know and we'll crank up our release schedule. -- Curt, WE7U. archer at eskimo dot com http://www.eskimo.com/~archer Lotto: A tax on people who are bad at math. - unknown Windows: Microsoft's tax on computer illiterates. - WE7U. Hello Curt, I'm not employed at SUSE/Novell, I just prepare the ham radio packages in my SPARE TIME. I integrated Xastir into the (un)official repository for SUSE 10.1 some time ago (see: http://dg7gt.osth.de/suse-10.1-ham-extended), and I will also try to integrate it into the upcoming repo for 10.2. I have a SPEC file that works with 10.1, and I think it will be easy to update it to 10.2. By the way: Writing you a private mail on your address always fails. Don't know why.... 73 Tim, DG7GT Am Sonntag, 10. Dezember 2006 19:44 schrieb Curt Mills:
