[opensuse-gnome] patch upstreaming day(s)

Hi As discussed in the last meeting, people seemed to agree on having some joint effort for reducing the amount of patches (see http://en.opensuse.org/GNOME/Projects/PatchUpstreaming) So, what do people think about having one or two days for joint patch upstreaming. Basically, this would be a 'get our packages and tag/clean/upstream the patches in there', to kick off the patch upstreaming project. Since this is not a real meeting that needs people's attention to IRC all the time, I was thinking we could have next week, like Monday and Tuesday (Jan 28th and 29th) for this. Any comments? -- Rodrigo Moya <rodrigo@novell.com> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

Sounds good to me, i can help with a few packages probably. Do we have a prioritized list to work off of? -JP -- JP Rosevear <jpr@novell.com> Novell, Inc. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

Right now, the priority, I guess, is to review as many patches as possible, so I'd say the priority is by number of patches per package: http://www.gnome.org/~rodrigo/openSUSE_Factory-patches.report that is: MozillaFirefox: 32 gdm: 28 gnome-panel: 28 evolution: 24 and so on -- Rodrigo Moya <rodrigo@novell.com> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org

Do you intend to do patch-upstreaming against packages in Factory or GNOME:UNSTABLE, or ...? I ask because I've started updating GNOME:UNSTABLE (although I'm blocked at the moment due to Factory issues) and we should coordinate efforts as much as we can. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-gnome+help@opensuse.org
