I just noticed that in Factory, Firefox->Help->About Firefox does not have a close button in the titlebar. Therefore the only way to close it is to right click the titlebar and choose Close. Hi Press the esc key?
That works too. But a close button would be better for users who don't use keyboard keys to control their windows.
I have Aurora (firefox alpha) installed in /home, and this version has the close button. So I suspect this will be fixed in the next version of firefox.
Hmm, this was reported some time ago affecting Gnome Shell but noone ever told me that was a Firefox bug. I always was under the impression this is a Gnome issue. (And I'm still not sure)
Apparently it is. I just downloaded Firefox 5 on KDE and the close button appears. So a problem in Gnome or maybe this type of window isn't even supposed to have a close button. The Firefox devs would need to make the About window close when there is a click anywhere on the screen. Like the Virtualbox About window.
