So, what happen was that, for some reason, X started to grab almost a 100% CPU after a GNOME 2.26 update. We noticed this, and figured out that there was a patch that needed to be applied to X for this to go away. We then applied this patch to X in home:MBoman as a temporary solution. Now, the X devs applied that very same patch to its repo, which is http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.1/
You can replace home:MBoman with the repo above. I am not sure if the X devs will release an official online update to 11.1 or not though.
That repository is using xorg-server 1.6.0 which was released recently. So i'm not sure if the repository is stable enough to be used. But i'm asking the X11 team about the state. Also xorg-server 1.6.0 got the fix upstream for the bug and the openSUSE X11 team got a better fix for the problem (afaik). I'm not sure if we should use Magnus xorg packages or the X11:Xorg packages. When i got the confirmation i will send an announcement how to update to GNOME 2.26 properly.
