Hi all, This is slightly off-topic, but as it has an impact for the team, I feel it's important to share this. I'm leaving the Boosters team and moving to another team inside SUSE, where I won't be working on something directly related to openSUSE (I'll probably blog about what I'll be doing at some point, give me some time :-)). This has some immediate side-effect: I'm now a purely community player for openSUSE too! No, you won't get rid of me, sorry :-) This obviously means I will have less time for openSUSE in general, and the GNOME team more specifically. But I don't think this is going to be much of an issue. In the past 1-2 years, we've managed to build a strong team. Of course, I've been doing a lot, but so have been Dominique, Bjørn, Malcolm, Atri and many others (sorry, I'm not even trying to name everyone, I'd forget too many people)! We've also been doing several steps to make sure we really work as a team: we reorganized our workflow to allow more reviews of all changes going in, we've created a gnome-maintainers group on OBS to share the super-powers, etc. I've been away a few times for several weeks in the past year, and the team did an amazing job without me. It was no surprise to me, and that should be enough to kill any doubts people might have about the GNOME team! It turns out that this is also happening at a point in time where GNOME is rather solid in Factory, and where 12.2 is delayed for a few months. This means we even have some quiet time to discuss other ways we can reorganize the team for 12.3, if we feel a need for it. I've no specific thing in minds, except maybe giving review powers to even more people? I'll probably be a bit less active than I'd like in the next few weeks, as I have a lot to learn and discover right now. But I'll come back and contribute more again soon after :-) And I'm still around on irc anyway, willing to answer questions, help people and chit-chat!
