Feature changed by: Ralph Ulrich (ulenrich) Feature #307256, revision 5 Title: openSUSE Developer Network openSUSE-11.2: Unconfirmed Priority Requester: Important Requested by: Sascha Manns (saigkill) Description: Hello Mates, today i get an Idea for our Project. We can create an new Project like MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) specially for OpenSUSE. I thought we can make an DowloadSite (1-Klick) for needed Software. Another Tab includes the API RReferences from KDE4, GNOME and other Stuff. In the Tab Learning we can include some HowTo's for Programming. That's just an thought. Maybe you like it... Sascha Discussion: #1: Ralph Ulrich (ulenrich) (2009-08-08 15:07:53) vote -1 against openSUSE.org should be such a MSDN alright. Do not put more devides! There are software patterns for developers to install #2: Stephen Kellat (skellat) (2009-08-08 15:13:09) This recognizes that not all users are developers. Efforts in this direction would help build a developer base while being mindful of paradigms outside openSUSE that those potential recruits may be stuck in. #3: Sascha Manns (saigkill) (2009-08-08 21:20:14) Yes. Not all users are developers. My thought was to support the present Developers and gives an Introduction for potencial new Developers. So we can merge the Contents to an Developer Portal. But this is actually just an Proposal. + #4: Ralph Ulrich (ulenrich) (2009-08-09 11:19:56) + I vote for an openSUSE.org website with some tags/labels the user can + set and filter content like: + devel <--> desktop + 11.0 <--> factory + en <--> de + or both options, if you want to read german and english text. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/307256
