Priority Requester: Desirable openSUSE-11.3: Evaluation Priority Requester: Desirable Info Provider: Todd R (theblackcat) Requested by: Todd R (theblackcat) Description: It would be nice if there were a few additional columns in the software management interface. One specific column I am interested in would be an architecture column, to show you the architecture of an installed package or the architecture the package would have if you were to install it. The other column would show the repository of the package, either the repository of an installed package or the repository the package would be downloaded from if you were to install it. Discussion: #1: Michael Löffler (michl19) (2009-08-12 15:18:13) Todd, were do you see benefit for the user in doing so? + #2: Todd R (theblackcat) (2009-09-22 17:54:55) (reply to #1) + One example would be for users of x86-64 installations, for instance, + to figure out which packages they have that are i586 and which are x86- + 64. Currently you have to look through each package's versions list + one-at-a-time. There is no easy wat to determine which packages are + x86-64 and which are i586. + Similarly, there is no easy wat to determine where installed packages + came from. For instance if you are trying to figure out which packages + you have from the default installation and which have been changed + since then, or if you want to see if you can safely remove a repository + you do not think you need anymore. Once again you have to look through + the versions list of every package in the repository. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/306974
