Feature changed by: Steffen Winterfeldt (snwint) Feature #307521, revision 5 Title: make GRUB text to speech option visible openSUSE Distribution: Rejected by Tomáš Chvátal (scarabeus_iv) reject reason: we now support only grub2 Priority Requester: Desirable Requested by: Jan Weber (japa83) Partner organization: openSUSE.org Description: GRUB, at least the one on DVD, is able to speak the selections. This can be enabled by pressing the F9 key in GRUB. This feature is not shown in the menu, it would be great to have it visible inside GRUB so people get to know this feature. Discussion: #1: Stephen Shaw (decriptor) (2009-08-27 18:12:28) We really need to work on improving our accessibility features! + #2: Steffen Winterfeldt (snwint) (2017-05-26 10:07:27) + Actually, the title is misleading: we use syslinux, and this is still + supported. + OTOH, Tumbleweed and SLES12-SP3 do have the screen reader option + visible in the boot menu. So this might classify as 'done'. -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/307521
