[opensuse-factory] 11.1 kernel version
Does anyone know if kernel 2.6.26 will make it in 11.1? There will be some new drivers for the Hauppauge TV cards that would be greatly appreciated by folks setting up home PVR's. If you look at the Alpha releases, yes 11.1 will be based on at least 2.6.26 or newer (probably 2.6.27, maybe newer depending on the kernel release cycle.) thanks, greg k-h --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

OK, can I safely install kernel in factory along side the current kernel in 11.0 (retail)? Ken --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Yes, you can. I tried myself and it worked fine - the only problem is that suspend to RAM is broken on my machine in that. I assume this is fixed once we move to 2.6.27 which is planned for the next days... Yes, but the update to 2.6.27-rc2 will follow soon. AFAIK Jeff already worked a bit on that.
