Whatever's in them is whatever the defaults are. It's not a place I've ever consciously touched of which I have any recollection. 12.3 and 13.1 have nothing resembling what 20140721 has: # /etc/logrotate.d/pbl (timestamp 4 days ago) /var/log/pbl.log { compress dateext missingok notifempty create 600 root root extension .log maxage 365 rotate 10 size +4096k } -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Thanks. It's marked fixed, reported against 13.1M0. I can't tell why it's marked fixed. I evaluated another host, where the same breakage is operational as in OP. I've commented on my observations in the bug. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Proverbs 16:21 (New Living Translation) Team OS/2 ** Reg. Worked out on IRC with Dimstar that: 1-The fix that went into Factory in April did not include enabling logrotate.timer with systemctl. 2-13.1 users who want the service can have it via cron as follows (from the updated bug): Create a new file at: /etc/logrotate.d/pbl with this content (excluding ### CUT HERE ###) ### CUT HERE ### /var/log/pbl.log { compress dateext missingok notifempty create 600 root root extension .log maxage 365 rotate 10 size +4096k } ### CUT HERE ### -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." For clarity: * The 'fix' for the bug was shipping a /etc/logrotate.d/pbl as part of perl-Bootloader + A simply config file for logrotate * on openSUSE up to 13.1, logrotate is triggered by cron * on openSUSE Factory, logrotate as enabled as a 'timer' systemd unit. In my tests, though, the system is NOT enabled. To enable: systemctl enable logrotate.timer The logrotate timer and service are installed by the LOGROTATE package Cheers, Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
