[opensuse-factory] Problem em canceling aspect ratio configuration
Hi, I posted a bug report on bugzilla about cancelling the aspect ratio configuration in openSUSE 10.2 beta 2, however it works for the bug tracker. I was wondering if I am the only one with this problem so, what I want with this e-mail, is for people to test this and tell if they have the same problem, so that I can know if the problem is mine, or of a specific configuration. The problem occurred during installation and after the system was installed. My system specs: - AMD 64-bit 3.0 GHz S939; - 1.0 Gb dual channel DDR 400 RAM (2x512); - ASUS motherboard with nForce 4 Ultra chipset: ASUS A8N-E; - Graphic board: Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce 6200 with TurboCache 128Mb DDR on board (PCI Express); - 80Gb SATA harddrive; - DVD-RW ASUS DRW1608P2/D (Dual-Layer). Hugo Have you got the bug number (I find the search feature of Bugzilla a little lacking). I just installed Beta2 yesterday on my IBM Thinkpad R40 and it did something strange at the final Hardware screen which might be similar to your issue. I usually click on the check configuration for the detected video and resolution JTMS (just to make sure) at the final screen. I did this on Beta2 and when I said the config was OK it suddenly started to do the last bit of startup and next ting I was at the KDE login screen. It seemed to miss the final done button. Anyways after logging in I went to configure something that required the audio components and they were not configured. I started YaST and chose the Quick method to configure the sound card (the hardware had been detected OK) and it started to work. I think there might be something a bit broken with the final screen of the installation and the Sax control panel... Cheers Jim On Mon, 2006-11-13 at 11:50 +0000, Hugo Costelha wrote:

I had the same problem when testing the configuration. The bug report is here https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216451 Thanks for trying this out. Hugo Added my vote and 00.02 to this. Even though the bug has a resolved status I do not think it is working properly. So hopefully will be reopened and looked at. However it's RESOLVED, the resolution is a DUPLICATE of bug #219946 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=219946 The bug is still not fixed. It seems to be a problem with Xserver. Lukas
