[opensuse-factory] device-mapper-1.02.90-46.1.x86_64 contains libdevmapper.so.1.03
Updated openSUSE-Factory this morning to 20141112 and found VirtualBox had been misteriously removed w/o notice (or I didn't see it and I look). Version 1.02.90 is interpreted as 1.03.pre-release. IOW 1.02.90 is Alpha / Beta / RC of 1.03 That may include ABI / API changes. - Yamaban.

Reinstalled vbox disregarding lib ver and appears working correctly, will withdraw the bug report sorry for the noise -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Of course not. The change in a library's SONAME indicates an ABI change. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
