I've bumped into this bug: http://bugs.kde.org/262555 in the NetworkManager - basically the short of it is, you can't connect to VPNs using NetworkManager. According to the bug report, the patch was applied at least 3 weeks ago. A workaround is to use KVPNC. I've poked the repositories and found that there might be a newer build of NetworkManager available in Factory, but I'm not 100% sure which one is the right one. I don't want to mix/match repos too much if I can help it, but I would like to get this part of NetworkManager working. Will, I see your name against the newer (?) Factory builds of NetworkManger... do you know if they include the patch/bug fix from the upstream bug report?
