Hi Every single character my the screen has a shadow, any solution or ideas? Shadows? There is no shadow. (https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/tryit.asp?filename=trycss3_text-shadow_blur is what a shadow is.) Except if by shadow you mean antialiasing. Yes, built-in bitmaps were disabled at some point -- such update has also hit 42.2(!). With the transition libfreetype6-2.6.3 -> libfreetype6-2.7.0, Arial 10pt @96dpi for example changed from its pixly look to a more rounded one. It was an easy way for me to describe the effect as it looks like a shadow to me. That link shows a shadow with blur effect which isn't the effect on my screen.
