[opensuse-factory] problem with reach of factory repo
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, It seems I can't reach the factory repo. I installed b3 two weeks ago. I haven't got the kernel update, and how I can recall absolutely no updates from factory. Packman repo give updates. I can't even install from factory repo, I have to download the rpm with a browser and install it by hand. If I start a check for updates with updater applet, it shows an error. If I start yum, and choose update if newer available, then nothing shows up. In addition I can't add more repos, I tried kde:backport, it also shows no reach error. By a browser I can reach the repos, so it's not a simple network error. How could I examine the problem? TIA. How could I examine the problem?
- check your install source, does it point to download.opensuse.org, or to some mirror that might not be syncing? - check your system time - carefully check the zypp logs / yum console output - describe the exact error / how to reproduce of the error your get when you add new repositories Peter -- "WARNING: This bug is visible to non-employees. I realized, that my problem was that zypper up didn't show anything. Cause of that updater applet neither. I had to do a zypper dup to update, and after that a lot of packages updated. Than I run into another problem, almost all of yast2 updates failed the integrity check, but IIRC this is a known problem. So again thanks for your reply, now I will install rc1. Until now I installed all beta releases as a new install. Now I'll try the offline update on a copied workstation.
