[opensuse-factory] Kmail, also after latest update "Email Sending failed"
Update 20171228 did not bring any improvement for my ailing Kmail. Have followed the correspondence about the "failed to transport message. Even tried my hand on the debug proposition but failed somewhere along the route. Suspected that due to the long use of my Kmail some irregularties must heve krept in my kmail setup I set a new kmail up from zero in an new user to no avail. The only difference between my old long used setup and the fresh setup was the message "Failed to Transport Message.2 and Failed transport Message, service error" (my old setup) into "Failed to Transport Message.6" Is thee a chance to have a functioning Kmail still this year ? ;) -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20171228 Qt: 5.10.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.40.0 kf5-config: 1.0 KDE Plasma: 5.11.4 plasmashell 5.11.4 Kernel: 4.14.8-1-default Linux User 183145 working on a Pentium IV . -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Obviously, there hasn't been any update related to kmail. Quote from the announcement mail: Packages changed: lame (3.99.5 -> 3.100) libraw (0.18.5 -> 0.18.6) tbb (2018_U2 -> 2018_20171205) wicked

It works fine here, I am writing this in kmail 17.12.0. In order for somebody to be able to find out what your problem is, you should provide a log though, as you've already been told: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2017-12/msg00413.html One thing you could try is to set a custom hostname in the sending account's settings, see https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2017-12/msg00416.html Kind Regards, Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
