[opensuse-factory] Shutting Down system in 12.2
Something has happened at my end (or is this also occurring with others?). When I am shutting down my computer, by right-clicking on desktop and selecting Logout, I get a small drop-down menu asking if I wanted to Suspend to RAM or Suspend to Disk and then a count down starts telling me that the computer will be shutdown in (?)30 seconds; and after the 30 seconds are up, I get the green gecko on the screen and have to wait until something finally decides to shut down the computer. This is a clean install of 12.2, with all the latest updates, as well KDE 4.9.1. Anyone else seeing this behaviour, please? Try pressing Esc to get verbose mode so you can see what hangs. But whatever it is, just blame Lennart P. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This is not a plain openSUSE 12.2. openSUSE 12.2 has KDE 4.8.4 and there it works. KDE 4.9.1 must be from an extra repository. Calling osc maintainer --bugowner --email PRJ PKG will show you the right person to assign the defect report to. Please report the filed issue back to the list as an easy clickable URL. Out of curiosity if I ever need to report a bug in a similar situation: What should be filled in for PRJ and PKG, and more importantly how do I find out what to fill in? Let's assume the KDE repo to be KR49 (http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Release:/49/openSUSE_12.2/) Thanks Jörg -- Joerg Mayer <jmayer@loplof.de> We are stuck with technology when what we really want is just stuff that works.
