[opensuse-factory] wifi problems from suspend to ram
Hi all, anyone is suffering the loss of network on resume from suspend to ram? Networkmanager app in kde becomes red and seems impossible to get wifi working again causing me to reboot the machine. More details? What os release and details are you on? I think I remember some networking problems after suspend, even with wired ethernet interface and that networkmanager application in the past. Sometimes i was able to solve it with classic rcnetwork restart. I cant remember how to do that with the systemctl whatever restart commands though I have never bothered to learn that networking stuff and details so far since wicked and systemd and all :( rcnetwork restart ought to work though still in current versions of opensuse I guess I think I even seen a bugreport about total loss of network after resume with opensuse. The interface would not have any ipv4 or ipv6 address any more, as if it would not do dhcp/dhcp6 any more. Maybe its even sufficient to restart some dhcp client component or something. What is your state of the interface when you resume? This thread could need more of your details. Good luck. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Hi, yes more info are needed but I was willing only to know if someone else suffers the problem or if i'm the only one. I'm on tumbleweed updated to the latest snapshot and restart the service brings up only the option to turn on the wifi chip in knetworkmanager. I will google around in searching for related bug reports. Thank you. 2016-11-12 12:16 GMT+01:00 cagsm <cumandgets0mem00f@gmail.com>:
