[opensuse-factory] [opensuse-mirrors] no TW update repo, and a lot more missing
download.opensuse.org is much too frequently inaccessible or timing out from my SE USA location, as it is now, as reported by zypper ref unable to locate valid repodata and timouts on repomd.xml. This recurring situation is especially true late on Fridays and through the weekends. widehat.opensuse.org/update/ and ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/update/ are both missing update/tumbleweed/. https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/new is missing a place to report this. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=openSUSE.org is missing an infrastructure component -- Evolution as taught in public schools, like religion, is based on faith, not on science. It is very difficult for us to even diagnose such an issue, Felix - what did you have in mind?
widehat.opensuse.org/update/ and ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/update/ are both missing update/tumbleweed/.
As is download.o.o.
https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/new is missing a place to report this.
I don't understand - pick a project, in this case "openSUSE admin" and open a ticket.
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=openSUSE.org is missing an infrastructure component
I personally do not look at bugzilla for stuff concerning our infrastructure, maybe others do. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.8°C) Member, openSUSE Heroes -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/77158 And of course, https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/40508 still applies.
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=openSUSE.org is missing an infrastructure component

You're a regular user. Other users need instructions for picking the right tracker for the many types of issues applicable to openSUSE. Trello, bugzilla, progress, and who knows how many others I can't remember without a program/howto/manual. -- Evolution as taught in public schools, like religion, is based on faith, not on science. As Tumbleweed does not have the concept of 'maintenance releases' (it's a rolling distro; the update channel is barely used) the download.o.o/update/tumbleweed setup is 'just a hack' using apache redirects (which are obviously not copied to other mirrors). In fact, the redirect bring you to: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/openSUSE:/Factory:/Update/standard... which in turn is part of the standard mirror infrastructure. Hope that helps, Dominique
