I have installed milestone0 for 12.3 in a vb and am somewhat confused in trying to determine which repos should be enabled and have been unable to remove that confusion in reading the wiki's on opensuse.org. Is there a wiki or web page describing a setup to test 12.3 or factory? If not, what repo's are advised. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, thanks. I saw your post earlier but do not seem to be able to find 12.3 repos you report. I did find: http://download.opensuse.org/factory/repo/non-oss/ http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/utilities/openSUSE_Factory/ -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I just looked at the URLs that are available in the list of repositories in YaST Sofware Repositories and changed 12.2 in 12.3. In 4 cases this did work and I disabled the other repositories completely. They were inactive anyway. But these 4 were accepted, after that I could install gcc without any further problems. -- fr.gr. Factory lives only in two repositories: openSUSE:Factory openSUSE:Factory:NonFree You will likely find a lot of projects build against it, they will usually publish in a URL ending in openSUSE_Factory. Mind though, that for proper bug reports, it is advisable to mix as few repositories as possible and, when reporting issues, state clearly which repos you use and from where the package showing the issue is coming from. Otherwise there is close to no chance to reproduce a bug. I don't expect Patrick to look for the Factory repositories, but for the 12.3 repositories of which there are 4: Oss, non-Oss, debug and source. -- vr.gr.
