[opensuse-factory] Kscreen needs labelling for button functions in openSUSE 13.1
Hello Listmates, Would anyone agree that Kscreen desperately requires labelling for the button functions? Can it be done in time for openSUSE 13.1? -- Cheers! Hello Listmates,
Hi Roman,
Would anyone agree that Kscreen desperately requires labelling for the button functions? Could you elaborate a bit on this? I'm not sure what do you mean. If we mean on the same thing, then tooltips should appear when hovering over the buttons.

When looking at Kscreen we see three little icons. It would look more professional if we could see the name of the button functions. This would also help when we are debugging and explaining this application with users, help forums and Bugzilla -- Cheers! I found them a bit confusing at first but as they have tooltips, I have no problem with it. Much bigger problem, at least for me, was that the "toggle primary display" star icon doesn't seem to have any effect because no matter which display I mark as primary, KDE still puts everything on the top/left one by default. There was usability testing done at Akademy and it was crystal clear that Kscreen in its current form is quite terrible from an usability POV. The team is working on it and I expect upstream to come with improvements before we get to release this unto an unsuspecting world ;-)

Bingo! I knew it needed work on its usability. ;-) The feel kinda reminds me of a Mandriva module except they're labelled.. -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This must explain why KScreen 1.1, which Àlex Fiestas said was planned for 08 August release, still hasn't been released.
