[opensuse-factory] question about lightdm status on openSUSE
Hi all, I'm remastering a small iso of openSUSE 12.2 with X11:MATE and I'm trying to dodge all the stuff from GNOME3 to minimize dependencies; Currently we have GDM and KDM supported; I've also seen some lightdm packages around, and I'm wondering if anyone knows their state, if they are integrated with openSUSE and ready for usage (otherwise, I must fall to GNOME GDM, which I have no issues with). they are integrated and they work. nothing fancy about them just simple login screens so be aware if you expect more. Alin On Sunday 09 Sep 2012 21:40:58 Nelson Marques wrote: their state, if

lightdm + lightdm-gtk-greeter went into Factory more than a year ago and have been the default display manager for the Xfce desktop since 12.1. It has full sysconfig and XDM/GDM-compatible script support so I suppose it is as well integrated as GDM or KDM, at least if you refer to the Factory package maintained in X11:Utilities. -- Guido Berhoerster -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Very nice... I assume then it's available in 12.2 also. What's the entry for /etc/sysconfig/displaymanager ? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Works. Thanks mate... sad that the theme sucks, but that can be fixed I suppose.
