Anyone to confirm this behaviour?
I can confirm this for Dolphin windows from a restored session (that
is,
for windows that are automatically reopened when you log out of a KDE
session and then log in again). But it’s not a new problem; I’ve had it
for *years*.
I think the (non-root) cause of the wrong command-line prompt is that
the terminal window in Dolphin *for restored session* is not reading
the
~/.bashrc file (for some reason). Why do I think that? Because both my
custom bash prompt, other custom environment variables and my custom
aliases are not available in these Dolphin terminal panes. And manually
running ‘source ~/.bashrc’ is a temporary fix.
Yes, looks like this is the issue. After closing and reopening Dolphin the prompt is back
to normal.
Is there a bug with KDE for this?
Schöne Grüße
Axel
