[opensuse-factory] 42.2: System freezes and reboots

Hi everyone, I have a problem with Opensuse 42.2 RC 1 (Plasma 5). Sometimes my system stops and then reboots. The last thing I did was 1) copying source code in the Eclipse IDE, 2) closing a tab in the Vivaldi browser. The last lines of some logs say that the CPU is locked. Others don't seem to be useful to me. What I can see from the screenshot is that the system itself is detecting a stall. It mentions something about "rfkill" and "ath9k" so I assume a problem with your wifi chipset or the hardware button to en-/disable wifi. I recommend to switch on or off the wifi hardware switch if you have any, if not, maybe you can disable wifi in bios and try to work either offline or use cable ethernet to crosscheck if the problem also appears then. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hi Oliver, a big THANK YOU for your help. I changed the wifi chip a couple of days back and all problems with my computer are gone. *happy* Simon Am 28.10.2016 um 20:35 schrieb Oliver Kurz:
