[opensuse-factory] KMPs fail to build lately
I have noticed that many kernel module packages fail to build after a recent (kernel?) update. The relevant message in the log is: /usr/src/linux-4.13.11-1/Makefile:942: *** "Cannot generate ORC metadata for CONFIG_ORC_UNWINDER=y, please install libelf-dev, libelf-devel or elfutils-libelf-devel". Stop. Snapshot 1118 was the first one to be tested to contain this kernel / fix, but it was not released (some issues with nfs_client identified on kubic); 1119 only got other new fixes, but nothing addressing the nfs_client issues identified in 1118, and for this reason also won't see the day of light as a TW Snapshot. Furthermore, Robby has found more issues with Intel Wifi in the 1119 snapshot - I'm hoping to address those with the relevant parties on Monday. cheers Dominique
