[opensuse-factory] Processing submissions of fixes for 12.2
Submissions to Factory are not forwarded to 12.2 by the factory maintainer even if they are clearly labeled as fixes. Submissions to openSUSE:12.2 are automatically rejected by BS with the message one should create a request to openSUSE:12.2:Update instead. So we end up having a build-up of RPMs in /update/12.2 already. Do these update packages ever migrate to the 12.2-base? Otherwise, it seems like the fixes won't be on the goldmaster when the time comes. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Coolo is handpicking openSUSE:Factory submissions for 12.2 too. We have enabled maintenance for 12.2 too and you can submit regular maintenance updates which is used for beta testing the update stack. Coolo will I guess pick from the openSUSE:12.2:Update repo into openSUSE:12.2:GA if necessary. Yes, please reference bugs if possible. It is not fully mandatory for obvious fixes though. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I pick things I consider 99% safe and that fix bugs. I do not pick random version updates "because they fix things".

We will backmerge openSUSE:12.2:Update at some point before GA, yes. Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
