[opensuse-factory] [factory] KMail templates - related to RFC: spliting opensuse-factory
This is example, similar in idea to new bugzilla screens for new bug reports that lead reporter to answer important questions. Template: _________________________________________ openSUSE version: 11.2 M7 updated to factory Where is the problem? System: Application: What is the problem? What is the question? _________________________________________ Example: openSUSE version: 11.2 M7 updated to factory Where is the problem? Application: Kmail 1.12.2 What is the problem? Custom templates to create New Message to Mailing List doesn't work. Question? Is that in 11.2 only, or it doesn't work in KMail at all? ********** Do you think that using such template/templates can help to have more useful emails that don't need second email to ask about missing pieces? -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

It is broken. I press the "home" icon, and up pops firefox, with this message: Hardware : Error! 20 Sun Sep 27 12:19:47 2009 Error: Critical: New versions of smolt use a public UUID. Yours is: pub_68... So I send again my profile. I get to my home page, all devices show a "?", no idea how to change them... Smolt is a good idea, but basically useless. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. With latest smoltGui you get password that will give you access to web page where you can apply changes. The latest CLI smoltSendProfile can't find server :) What I use you can see in previous email. The profile URL line is split in 2 because if not it breaks by itself in not so clean way. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Nop :-) Why? Because! :-P Ok, I can think of two reasons. One, I don't use Kmail, and I'd guess I'm not the only one. Two, there are first comers that don't have a clue, even less will know of the existence of templates. Ah, three: I "hate" the bugzilla template. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. The KMail template is just proof of concept. Instead of template, it can be desktop link that will open such mail in your favorite mail client. I got to try that too.
Two, there are first comers that don't have a clue, even less will know of the existence of templates.
Factory is not for newcomers, but they can have desktop link to opensuse@opensuse.org , and opensuse@opensuse.org will drop them if user is not subscribed. Did I mentioned that our communication structure is not for newcomers at all? Developers we can hear complaining on too many emails and missing feedback?! New users we can't hear at all. I guess that I'll take this to project list, or somewhere.
Ah, three: I "hate" the bugzilla template.
Hating is good, it may make you think what can be improved and file bug report against bugzilla :) -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
