I tried to sync my Palm 515 to korganizer. (First was to create a backup using pilot-xfer) Then I started korganizer and set it up to sync my palm (transfer pilot to pc) Then I had to start kpilotd by hand. Then I pushed the sync button. I had to wait more then one hour to see sync finished Now all old dates and all new dates are in korganizer No dates at all in my Plam! Some errors in .xsession-errors Second try I cleaned my .kde/share/korganizer/ Then I started korganizer and set it up to sync my palm (transfer pilot to pc) Then I had to start kpilotd by hand. Then I pushed the sync button. I had to wait more then one hour to see sync finished. All o.k. Why took it so long? Evolution takes ~5 min. backup/restore ~1 min I looked, what is going on during sync (kde): For each entry in datebook the whole *.ica file is copied to a new one, while the new entry is added. Then files seems to get renamed. Now I counted (grep+wc) and found ~5000 entries. HW: P4/2GHz, 2GB RAM, SCSI-Disk ~60 MB/s -- Joachim
